Care & Maintenance
Keeping your Triwud piece in good condition
Solid wood is a living material. It expands slightly in humid summers and contracts in dry winters. A little routine care — wiping spills, re-oiling once a year — keeps the surface looking fresh and extends the life of the piece by decades.
Care by Finish

Natural Oil
Wipe spills with a dry cloth. Re-apply linseed or tung oil every 12 months with a lint-free cloth — buff dry after 20 minutes. Never use abrasive cleaners.

Lacquer (Matte or Satin)
Clean with a soft damp cloth, dry immediately. Avoid ammonia-based cleaners. Re-coat every 3–5 years if scratches appear.

Hardwax Oil
Clean with hardwax oil maintenance cleaner. Buff maintenance oil into high-wear areas once a year. Spot-repair scratches — no full re-coat required.

Food-Safe Oil (kitchen pieces)
Hand wash only — never soak or dishwasher. Dry immediately. Re-apply food-safe mineral oil or beeswax monthly.

Clear Wax
Dust with a dry soft cloth. Re-wax every 6–12 months — apply carnauba wax, leave 10 minutes, buff. Avoid excess moisture.

Whitewash
Dust with a dry cloth only. If cleaning is needed, use the lightest possible damp wipe and dry immediately. No oil or wax products.
